Please read carefully the information below. It will help you to create a snagging list for your property and deal with each problem.
Please note that we will accept for management and letting only properties free of snagging problems.
Are all walls and ceilings well painted – check for spots, holes, roughnesses etc.
Is there a boiler in every bathroom
Are all doors with stopping mechanism
Check if all floors are done and if there are joints between the parquet and the skirting – boards
Check all tiles if some of them are broken, cracked and if all joints are fulfilled with joint mixture
Flash the water everywhere. Check for running water around the shower, the sinks, the flashing cistern, the boiler, the bath
Check if all sinks can be easily plugged up with the stopper or the water is running
Check all lamps. Is there one which doesn’t work or is flickering
Can you shut the windows well? Can you feel the draught and are there any stains on the glass. Is the joinery scratched and does the place look finished?
Are all the doorsteps well done?
Are there any scratches on the doors near the cases. Can they be opened and shut easily? Do they press close well and can you lock the bathroom
The heating and the boilers must be switched on maximum. The fuse must endure the strain and there must be no running water from the boiler
Check the boiler and the heating for obvious defects
The radiators must be checked for defects and water running, and if they are fixed steady
Check for defects all tiles and floorings at the balcony
Check for defects the handrails, if they are scratched and steady fixed. Check the paint on the walls and the ceiling. Is it safe for children?
Is the floor well jointed at the end, is it well embedded?
Are there enough wall – plugs (at least 6 in the kitchen, 6 in the sitting room, 4 in the bedroom)
Is there a chimney for the extractor hood? Is it at the right place?
Are there terminals for cable television in the sitting room and every bedroom?
Are there terminals for Internet?
Switch on all the appliances.
Are all TV sets working and is the cable television installed? Does it work?
Is there Internet connection?
Is the oven working?
Is the fridge working?
Is the extractor hood working and is it plugged to the chimney?
Is the electric tea – kettle working?
Is the toaster working? Toast 2 slices of bread to check.
Is the microwave working? Boil a cup of water to check.
Check if the reading lamps are working
Check the furniture for obvious defects, scratches, torn parts, stains etc.
Check if the skirting – board doesn’t let the wardrobe and the other furniture to go as close as they can to the wall.
Check all the furniture with doors and if you can open and shut them smooth and easy.
See if when you open the furniture doors, the wardrobe and the other furniture is unstable
Are there night – tables near every bed?
Is there a TV set in every bedroom?
Is there a wardrobe in every bedroom?
Is there a TV set in the sitting room?
Is there cutlery, corkscrew, tin-opener?
